Free Prostate Cancer Screening

Sept. 20 and Sept. 22

The Department of Urology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center is hosting free prostate cancer screenings during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Screenings will be held on Monday, Sept. 20 and Wednesday, Sept. 22, 5-8 p.m.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer affecting men in the United States. Yet there are often no symptoms, which is why screening is so important to catch the disease early.

To mark Prostate Cancer Awareness Month this September, the Department of Urology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is hosting free prostate cancer screenings. These screenings are by appointment only and are open to men age 50 and older or those with a family history of prostate cancer.

  • Free screening dates: Monday, September 20, 5 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 22, 5 – 8 p.m.
  • Location: Penn State Health Surgery Specialties, 200 Campus Drive, Suite 3100, Entrance 4, Hershey, PA 17033
  • To register: call 800-243-1455, space is limited.

Note: We are following all social distancing and safety precautions to protect your well-being. For that reason, a mask is required when on our campus regardless of vaccination status. We appreciate your compliance.

Not quite ready for a screening, but want to learn more prostate cancer risks and prevention? Considering participating in our free virtual education session, “What Every Man (or woman who loves him) Needs to Know about Prostate Cancer,” set for September 28.
